Residents of Akyem Anyinam in the Atiwa East Constituency have topped an accident scene on the Accra-Kumasi highway after a fuel tanker had overturned in the early hours of Thursday, July 10, 2025.
A video circulating on social media depicts the residents of Akyem Anyiman rushing to the scene with gallons, struggling to fetch fuel from the overturned fuel tanker, despite the presence of some Ghana Police Service personnel.
Reports suggest that the fuel tanker, en route to Accra from Kumasi, overturned a few meters from the Anyinam township after the driver had lost control.
No casualties have been recorded at the moment.
After the video went viral, social media users expressed concerns about residents putting their lives at risk, with some saying;
